Weekly Whispers – Week Beginning  10-16 August 2026

Messy Days and Mindful Ways - Dogs, discs, gratitude, an abundance of plums… and the week that reminded me that sometimes the Universe has a very odd sense of humour.

A Little Hello from Me, and where shall we begin?

Well…

Only Monday

I really should start a little section called  ‘Scooby’s Contribution to this Week’s Newsletter’, because honestly, that dog is beginning to earn his own column.

Honestly, this stray puppy knew what he was doing when he chose us.

Last week, I thought we were finally settling into some sort of routine.

No broken bones, no prolapsed bowel, no fleas, ticks, snake bites……,

I was beginning to think, ‘we’ve got this.’

Then, at approximately, 4am on Monday, Scooby started barking…, loudly.

And barking.

And barking.

I’ll be honest. I was inclined to ignore him.

Thank goodness I didn’t.

The explosion as he launched himself through the back door would have been…, well…, let’s just say ‘spectacularly unpleasant.’

We’ve narrowed it down to chicken gizzards.

His absolute favourite.

They are now, officially, permanently off the menu.

And just when I thought we’d dealt with that little drama, I discovered that the only practical way to clean several watery-looking pats from a gravel footpath is with a hosepipe.

Pet owners, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

So, I turned on the tap.

And…

WHAM.

The hose shot off and drenched me head to toe.

At this point, I thought surely the Universe had finished taking the mickey.

Apparently not.

I reattached  the hose, making absolutely certain it had clicked firmly into place…,

… and shockingly discovered, with a sudden jerk, that my disc had popped back out of its collagen-drought hiding place.

I couldn’t move.

There followed the usual back saga, which I’m sure you’re becoming almost as bored with as I am, so I’ll spare you the full episode.

But the day wasn’t a total write-off.

Apparently, a cold shower first thing is excellent for shaking up the old grey matter, because inspiration suddenly arrived and I went on to write ‘Without, Within -  the August edition.

So, there we are.

Nothing like a soaking wet, half-naked woman with a dodgy back to get the creative juices flowing.

Although perhaps let’s not put that on the sales page. 😊

With a Universal 3 Day and Personal 6 Day apparently working together beautifully, I then turned my attention to budgeting.

And that’s when my jaw hit the floor.

Disbelief is a funny face don’t you think?

Picture mine when I discovered that a scam costing £34.99 had been merrily helping itself for several months before I noticed!

Cue:

Shock.

Anger.

Seven hours waiting to speak to someone at the bank.

And eventually…

Sorry we can’t help’

By then, the lovely 3 energy had packed its bags and gone out for the day.

Tuesday,

A very different vibe.

Painkillers and Tiger Balm stains were keeping the pain at bay, while fear of making things worse meant I wasn’t moving unless absolutely necessary.

So I spent the day thinking.

How do I reverse this rather unhealthy state of affairs?

I printed food guides.

I looked at my options.

I reflected.

Basically, I was having a very productive day…

From a horizontal position.

Sometimes that’s all you’ve got 😊

Wednesday,

The Passport Lounge is flourishing and today was no exception.

Someone had suggested a ‘Voice Note to Self - Ten Years Ago.

People had already begun sharing theirs.

So I naturally thought:

 ‘Why not?’

Hmm.

38 degrees.

A slipped disc.

 And a Personal Day 5.

In hindsight, perhaps the Universe had already answered that question.

Still, I did it.

And as the tears flowed freely, I couldn’t help thinking:

This is NOT how a Personal Day 5 is supposed to look.’

Needless to say, I was in bed by 8.30pm

Thursday,

It seemed the painkillers were winning the battle with inflammation, so I took advantage of the brief window of opportunity and  gathered fallen fruit, as well as some from the trees.

And what a harvest.

Standing amongst the fruit trees, clover, Willows and Bamboo, I found myself feeling genuinely grateful for the abundance around me.

I headed indoors with my harvest, picking up my favourite singing bowl as I passed.

My intention was simple:

To cleanse and prepare the energies of the room for Friday’s Reiki. There was something very peaceful about it.

Friday.

An early Reiki Healing Session started my day, followed by a very busy day indeed.

The 8/8 Lionsgate voice-note Readings  had been far more popular than I’d anticipated.

Had I known how curious everyone would be, I would definitely have allowed myself more time!

Still, despite deranged heat, my displaced disc, and dogs with digestive opinions, I managed to process three dozen bags of plums – weighed out according to the diet of the ‘new me’… LOL,

Several jars of jam…,

and almost twenty jars of winter tomatoes.

There were a few other odds and sods too.

So, all things considered, a very productive day.

Saturday.

If Friday was ‘up, up , up’ you might guess today would bring things back down.

And it certainly did.

I hadn’t gone into 8/8 with too many personal expectations, so I wasn’t particularly looking for anything dramatic.

Which, as it turns out, was probably just as well.

The day started beautifully with coffee and chatter with friends.

And somewhere amongst all that lovely yackety-yak, the conversation turned to gratitude.

A funny old thing, gratitude, isn’t it?

One particular conversation had stuck with me, trying to derail me.

My friend asked me:

What are you grateful for?

And…

Nothing,

Absolutely nothing came to mind.

Not one thing.

I couldn’t think of a single answer.

That unsettled me.

Then she went on to explain why she thought that might be.

And despite my earlier gratitude for abundance, her words landed. Hard.

I came home, journaled, wrote, thought about it…

… and realised there is probably a much bigger story there. But that’s a story for another day.

 Sunday:

My mind keeps returning to Money Reiki.

I cannot stop thinking about if this would make a great workshop, particularly because our theme to the rest of August is  ‘Abundance & Flow’

So…

I’m asking you.

Would you be interested?

Because I’ve got a few ideas bubbling away..

It has been some week!  Yet again! 😊

Midweek Musings –

This week has reminded me of something I sometimes forget.

Numerology isn't there to help us count plums.

Sadly.

Nor is it going to prevent the dog from having a digestive crisis, or magically make a slipped disc hop back to where it should be…,

It's there to help us understand who we become while all of that is happening.

The Universal 9 energy of August has me thinking more and more about letting go, making space and allowing things to flow, naturally, whilst at the same time, the Universal Year 1 is asking: ‘What do you intend to do with all that space you’re making?’

And I think that's where I've found myself this week.

Not necessarily trying to fix everything and not even trying to understand everything.

But I am noticing things.

What I’m holding onto, and questioning, what am I ready to release?

Where am I creating resistance?

And where could I simply stop pushing and allow things to unfold?

The summer abundance all around me has made that particularly difficult to ignore.

Fruit falling from trees.

Jars of jam filling the shelves.

Tomatoes being stored for winter.

A conversation that stayed with me.

People joining the Passport Lounge.

Reiki sessions.

Ideas appearing faster than I can write them down.

Meanwhile, over in the Passport Lounge...

Things are getting exciting.

Our Passport Office is approaching its first border crossing and there is a real buzz amongst the members.

Our first seasonal stamps will be issued in just three weeks.

Three weeks!

If you've been sitting on the fence wondering whether to join us, it's not too late.

Come on down, grab your passport and join us for the journey into Autumn.

Harvest. Reflection. Gratitude.

And plenty of opportunities to collect your stamps along the way.

You can find all the details here:

And honestly?

I think you're going to love the vibe.

Two Questions For You… , This week’s questions are a little more personal.

1,     What does gratitude look like in your world?

Not the Instagram Version.

Not, ‘I’m grateful for my abundance, my beautiful life and my perfectly arranged breakfast bowl.’

 Real gratitude.

What genuinely makes you stop and think:

I'm lucky to have this.’

2,     Do you ever struggle to find gratitude?

Because if you do...

You're not broken.

You're human.

And I'd really love to hear your thoughts.

OK, before we head off into ‘What’s New, let’s take a peek at this coming weeks numbers.

🔢 The Numbers for the Week Ahead

Numerology Snapshot: 10-16 Aug.

Monday 10th– Universal Day 1 and ‘World Lion Day’ no less – founded in 2013 with the intention of raising awareness about the challenges lions face in the wild, and their declining population.  Lions represent symbols of strength and courage globally. Where do you feel you need a little more strength and courage today?     You don’t always need the roar. Sometimes you simply need the courage to make that decision you’ve been putting off.

Tuesday 11th– Universal Day 2 – After a courageous day, yesterday it makes sense to have a slower, recovery day. Harmony and sensitivity. Take your foot off the gas 😊

Wednesday 12th– Universal Day 3, and it’s now ‘World Elephant Day’ – Perhaps you like elephants for like elephants sake, but did you know they universally symbolise strength, wisdom and good fortune. They are also known for their loyalty, patience and protection. Wouldn’t it be amazing all you writers, artists and storytellers, to pick up your pens and brushes and tell the story of elephants, raise awareness and spread the word, since this is the perfect day for creativity, art, words, and self-expression.

Thursday 13th– Universal Day 4 – What can I say? Big pants on, head down, this is a day for ‘adulting’…, ‘is that even a word?’ They do say, ‘the 4 represents structure and stability. Meanwhile, I’m pondering how my friend will make pizza, in a pizza oven with a collapsed top? Should it have been square I’m thinking 😊 😊

Friday 14th– Universal Day 5 – Hmm, maybe channel your ‘Mick Jagger’ today. If there was a plan, and it’s fallen apart…, well great, that just means something far more exciting is about to hit. (Incidentally, I believe Mick Jagger is a Life Path 5 – perhaps someone can confirm) Thanks.

Saturday 15th– Universal Day 6 – If yesterday felt a little chaotic, and too much ‘Rock and Roll’, today’s 6 energy is your ticket to the couch, LOL, relaxation, family, loving and caring. You probably feel the urge to nurture, but day 6 is not asking you to head to the kitchen and bake bread LOL. This is a day for nurturing yourself as well as others.

Sunday 16th– Universal Day 7 – OK, the Universe has decided to end the week with a joke LOL.

Today is ‘Rollercoaster Day’ with a Universal 7 energy. What are you like at reflecting whilst travelling at high speeds, up and down, round and round and even upside down? I’ll be leaving ‘Rollercoaster Day’ to those who are still discovering what happens when you pay good money to feel sick 😊

Quick summary  -. Wait a minute...,

how bizarre that the energies are the sum of the day!

What’s new this week at Four Seasons:

Throughout the summer, I have found myself  being increasingly busy delivering Distance Reiki Healing. And it  brings me so much joy.

Reiki has always been available as an extra through Four Seasons, but from September my intention is to make Reiki accessible three days per week, throughout Autumn.

And, because I know that choosing someone to work with energetically can feel like a big step, I thought I’d share what one of my clients recently said:

‘I could really feel how much love, care and intention you put into preparing the session. More than anything, what I took from your Reiki was a reminder to stop trying to force everything.

I definitely felt calmer after the session. I wouldn't say it improved my sleep, but it really did leave me feeling more grounded and settled, and I noticed that calm stayed with me afterwards.

It was a beautiful gift, and I'm so grateful that you shared it with me.’
