Money Reiki - The Money Reiki Altar That Became Something Else Entirely.

Abundance, the elements, ancient memories, mysterious numbers… and what happened when I stopped looking for more

Money Reiki - Elephants and Elements.
Money Reiki - Elephants and Elements.

I have been revisiting my Money Reiki training.

Yes, I know.

I'm already a Money Reiki Master. šŸ˜‚

But that's the thing about revisiting something you've already learned. Sometimes you discover that the teaching hasn't changed at all.

You have.

And suddenly something you thought you understood begins to land somewhere completely different.

Anyway, over the last week, our group has been working with the elements and Money Reiki, and as part of that I began creating my own little Money Reiki altar.

I say little.

That may have been somewhat optimistic.

It started with my oak elephant table, a blue glass bowl of water and a handful of pebbles.

By the end of the week there were feathers, crystals, shells, ancient tree bark, archaeological quartz, a broken flower pot, an oil diffuser behaving like a volcano, a wizard, two dragons, several elephants and enough numbers to keep any numerologist happily occupied for hours.

And somewhere along the way, something quite unexpected happened.

What began as an experiment with Money Reiki and the elements became a very personal conversation with myself.

It began with the element 'water'

I called the bowl i used my 'Blue Pool'.

Into the blue pool went water and, over the course of the week, pebbles.

I wrote the Universal numbers on some.

My daily Personal numbers on others.

And on the first day I added my first three core numbers.

At the centre sits a pyramid, rising upwards.

Then came a couple of crystals.

A couple of shells.

And, as the days passed, more and more little pieces of the experiment found their way into the bowl.

The original intention was quite simple.

I wanted to see what happened.

What energies would my numbers bring to the table?

Would certain numbers appear more often?

Would I notice patterns?

Would something intuitively stand out?

Or would I simply end up with a very pretty bowl of wet stones? LOL.

Honestly, I was happy with whatever the outcome.

I wasn't trying to make it say something.

I wanted to watch.

To notice.

To allow.

And that became important as the week unfolded.

Blue Pool
Blue Pool

The idea behind Blue Pool was also about flow.

Money Reiki.

Water.

Receiving.

Allowing.

Circulating.

Letting go.

Not clutching everything tightly and calling it security.

Because abundance that cannot move isn't really flowing at all.

Then came air

And this was fun.

I placed feathers into a fibre-optic wand and the effect was incredible.

Light, movement, feathers, colour…

and something else.

As I sat looking at it, I saw an eagle.

A bold eagle.

Looking down.

Seeing.

Knowing.

Wise.

And every time I walked into the room, I noticed the feathers and the eagle first.

But I also noticed something else.

An Indian ancestor.

Quietly observing.

No drama.

No grand announcement.

No message being shouted at me.

Just there.

Watching.

And somehow, very welcome.

Somehow important.

I don't know exactly who or what this represented.

But I noticed it.

And I've learned not to dismiss the things I notice simply because I can't immediately explain them.

Air
Air

After air came earth

This was the element that moved me most.

And strangely, none of the things I used were new.

I'd had them for years.

I simply hadn't felt called to use them until now.

The first was a piece of broken clay pot from my garden.

Nothing particularly exotic.

It had broken.

I'd kept it.

And there it was.

The second was a collection of quartz crystal shards I'd gathered during an archaeological dig in Sozopol.

The ground where I found them had been sacred ground many centuries before. The ruins of a church had been unearthed as part of the discovery of the remains of a city beneath the city.

I had held those little pieces of quartz for years.

But this week they suddenly felt significant.

And then there was the tree bark.

Pieces gathered many years ago from an ancient tree in the Pirin Mountains.

I remember collecting them.

I remember being moved by the thought of the DNA of centuriesĀ carried within those tiny pieces of bark.

Centuries of growth.

Weather.

Seasons.

Life.

Death.

Renewal.

All held within something I could hold in my hand.

Clay pot, quartz shards and tree bark
Clay pot, quartz shards and tree bark

When I placed these three things together, something shifted for me.

I felt the presence of ancestors.

My own and others.

Past lifetimes.

People whose names I will never know.

Lives that have disappeared into history.

Things still untouched.

Still undiscovered.

And rather than feeling frightened by that, I felt supported.

Held.

Safe.

It reminded me just how much there is that we don't know.

How much there is still to learn.

And perhaps, especially as I move into the winter season of my life, that's something I need to remember.

I don't need to know everything.

I simply need to remain open to learning.

And then came fire

Fire actually arrived before earth, and in the form of my oil diffuser.

It glowed red and the vapour escaped from it like a steaming geezer…

or perhaps a volcano about to erupt.

šŸ˜‚

Beside it I placed a red jasper crystal inside a shell.

At first, the diffuser felt like an obvious representation of fire.

It glowed.

It steamed.

It looked dramatic.

Job done.

Except…

Today, during my meditation, something changed.

I looked at it and suddenly the oil diffuser seemed to have lost all its meaning.

It was just an oil diffuser.

šŸ˜‚

And the message I received was:

'I am the fire.'

Of course I am.

I'm a fire sign.

I don't need an oil diffuser to represent my fire.

I don't need anything else.

The red jasper is enough.

Red.

Earth.

Grounded.

Stable.

Base chakra.

Abundant.

And then there is the shell.

To me, the shell now represents water.

Emotion.

Feeling.

Forgiveness.

So something I had originally placed there to represent fire was suddenly bringing earth and water into the picture too.

The elements weren't sitting in neat little boxes.

They were beginning to overlap.

Oil diffuser and red Jasper in shell
Oil diffuser and red Jasper in shell

And that felt right.

Because perhaps that's how we are too.

We don't exist as one thing at a time.

Wood was easy

When the time came for wood, I didn't need to add anything.

My oak elephant table was already doing the job beautifully.

Sometimes the answer really is sitting underneath your nose.

Literally.

And those elephants?

Well, they stayed.

They've become part of the altar too.

Grounded.

Strong.

Ancient.

Protective.

Watchful.

And perhaps I didn't realise at the time how appropriate that would become.

And then came metal

This was where my grandson entered the story.

I have borrowed his Myth & Magic statue of two dragons protecting a wizard.

I felt intuitively drawn to place them on the altar.

The dragons became protectors.

Protecting the wizard.

Protecting me.

Protecting the altar.

And the wizard?

He stands there casting his magic over the whole table.

I rather liked that.

šŸ˜‚

Wizard and dragons - metal - protecting
Wizard and dragons - metal - protecting

And suddenly the altar had a completely different feel.

There was protection.

There was grounding.

There was history.

There was movement.

There was fire.

There was water.

There was air.

There was earth.

There was wood.

There was metal.

And there was me, sitting in front of it all, trying to understand what the hell I'd created.

Then I took some time, and looked properly at Blue Pool

This is where things became really interesting.

As I sat in meditation in front of the altar.

I listened to 888 and 396Hz — unlimited abundance music.

I stopped trying to work anything out.

I simply looked.

And I sketched what I saw.

That's when the numbers in Blue Pool began to speak to me.

Not in the sense that I believe the stones were literally talking.

Rather, the arrangement gave me something to reflect upon.

And the first thing I noticed was something quite striking.

There is no number 1.

Not a single one.

And given the amount of 1 energy around me at the moment, that made me laugh.

But then I thought about what 1 represents.

Beginnings.

Ideas.

New directions.

Independence.

Starting something.

And suddenly my interpretation was very simple:

Perhaps I don't need another beginning.

I don't need another idea.

I don't need to reinvent myself.

I don't need to wait for something else to arrive.

Everything I need for abundance is already here.

With me.

In me.

Available to me.

That was a powerful thought.

And then there was the 6

The number appearing most abundantly in Blue Pool was 6.

Home.

Family.

Material wellbeing.

Stability.

Care.

Responsibility.

Abundance.

And as I looked at those 6s, I realised that I wasn't thinking about money at all.

I was thinking about my life.

My home.

My family.

The people I love.

My dogs.

My memories.

The places I've lived.

The things I've learned.

The experiences I've had.

The life I've actually lived.

And I realised something that sounds incredibly simple, but perhaps isn't:

There is no price tag on some forms of abundance.

We can spend so much time looking at what we haven't got that we become completely blind to what is already surrounding us.

I have so much.

And for that, I am genuinely grateful.

Then came the 9s and the 7s

After the 6s, the numbers appearing most frequently were 9 and 7.

Nine speaks to me of spiritual enlightenment, universal love, compassion, completion and the ending of a major cycle.

Seven speaks to me of reflection, intuition, deeper understanding and the wisdom that comes from a lifetime of experience.

And these felt particularly personal.

I'm moving into what I increasingly think of as the winter season of my life.

And I don't mean that in some gloomy 'that's it then, pack up the caravan'Ā sort of way.

Quite the opposite.

Winter is a season of turning inward.

Reflection.

Roots.

Rest.

Wisdom.

And perhaps a different kind of purpose.

For much of my life, I've been very good at being there for other people.

Supporting.

Helping.

Caring.

Smoothing things over.

Putting other people's needs before my own.

It's very much part of being a full-on Life Path 2.

And perhaps I've now fulfilled many of the things that others have required of me.

Perhaps it's time to ask a different question.

What do I require of me?

Self-love.

Compassion.

My own passions.

My own purpose.

My own choices.

And maybe this is what a new cycle really means.

Not becoming somebody else.

But becoming more fully myself.

697

Before I finished my meditation, I found myself contemplating the number 697.

The numbers most present.

My interpretation of it was about releasing material worries.

Stopping the constant stress around financial concerns or domestic pressure.

Trusting my spiritual intuition.

Welcoming change and transformation.

Not resisting what is trying to change.

And then, because I am apparently incapable of leaving a number alone…

I Googled 697.

šŸ˜‚

And that's when I discovered Osthryth, Queen of Mercia, who was murdered by her own noblemen in the year 697.

Her remains were associated with Bardney Abbey in Lincolnshire.

Now, was I meantĀ to find that?

I genuinely don't know.

And I'm perfectly comfortable saying that.

But two things immediately sprang to mind.

The first was the theme of protection that had already appeared through the eagle, the wizard and the dragons.

And the second was discernment.

Perhaps the reminder was simply:

Be generous, but don't abandon your discernment.

Not everyone is necessarily who they appear to be.

That doesn't mean becoming suspicious.

It means remembering that generosity doesn't require us to ignore our intuition.

And then there was the Lincolnshire connection.

My childhood was spent there.

My early career was spent there.

A huge part of my formative life happened there.

So suddenly this rather random historical discovery had become personal.

Maybe it was coincidence.

Maybe synchronicity.

Maybe I simply noticed something because I was already thinking about protection, generosity and intuition.

I don't know.

But I noticed.

And that matters to me.

Maybe this is what abundance actually looks like

By this point, the altar had become much more than an exercise in Money Reiki.

It had become a mirror.

A way of looking at what was already sitting inside me.

And perhaps that's why the experience has affected me so much.

Because abundance isn't necessarily about acquiring more.

Sometimes abundance is about recognising more.

Recognising what we already have.

Recognising what we've already learned.

Recognising how much life we've already lived.

Recognising the people who love us.

Recognising our own resilience.

Recognising our intuition.

Recognising that we don't have to keep beginning again simply because we've convinced ourselves that the next thing will finally make everything fall into place.

Probably we don't need more.

Maybe we need to see more clearly what is already here.

But Blue Pool isn't going anywhere just yet...

Originally, I had planned to empty the water at the end of the week.

The water would go onto my plants.

The pebbles would return to the earth.

Back to nature.

Back into the garden.

A completed cycle.

And that still feels right.

But then I had another thought.

Wait until the 10th.

10 October 2026.

10/10/2026.

And, importantly, the New Moon.

Something about that date kept calling me.

And then, completely out of nowhere, 10 to the power of 10Ā popped into my head.

Now, mathematically, that's 10 billion.

But my immediate thought was:

Surely there's not much greater than that?Ā šŸ˜‚

So Blue Pool stays.

Until the 10th.

I'll sit with it.

I'll look at the numbers again.

I'll see what has changed.

And then the water will return to my plants.

The pebbles will return to the earth.

And whatever this little experiment has taught me will come with me.

Because I'm guessing the water doesn't need to remain in the bowl for the abundance to continue.

Perhaps the cycle is the important part.

Receive.

Flow.

Circulate.

And the biggest message of all…

I started this week thinking I was creating a Money Reiki altar.

What I actually created was something that made me stop.

Look.

Listen.

Remember.

Question.

Feel.

And most importantly, recognise.

I don't need another beginning.

I don't need another idea.

I don't need to keep proving myself.

I don't need to keep carrying everyone else's needs.

I don't need to be frightened of change.

I don't need to believe that abundance only counts when it arrives in pounds, euros or anything else that can be put in a bank account.

I have a home.

I have people I love.

I have memories.

I have experience.

I have intuition.

I have survived things I once thought I wouldn't.

I have learned.

I have grown.

I have made mistakes.

I've started again.

And again.

And probably again. šŸ˜‚

And perhaps now, as I move into the winter season of my life, it's time to stop asking:

'What else do I need?'

And start asking:

'What am I going to do with everything I already have?'

That feels like a very different question.

And a very exciting one.

So, what does it all mean?

I don't know.

And I'm surprisingly comfortable with that.

I don't think every synchronicity needs a definitive explanation.

I don't think every number needs to become a prediction.

And I certainly don't think we should hand our power over to a bowl of pebbles, an altar or a number sequence.

For me, numerology, Reiki, intuition and all the other things I explore are tools for reflection.

They give me something to look at.

Something to question.

Something to play with.

Sometimes something to laugh at.

And sometimes they shine a rather uncomfortable light on something I already knew but wasn't quite ready to admit.

This week, Blue Pool did exactly that.

It reminded me that I already have a great deal of abundance.

It reminded me to trust my intuition.

It reminded me that generosity needs discernment.

It reminded me that endings can be beginnings.

It reminded me that wisdom comes from reflection.

And it reminded me that perhaps I don't need to keep searching for the next version of myself.

Perhaps she's already here.

And finally…

I'm still a Money Reiki Master.

I'm still learning.

I'm still questioning.

I'm still experimenting.

I'm still occasionally making things up as I go along.

šŸ˜‚

But that's the beauty of revisiting something you thought you already knew.

You come back as a different person.

And remember: sometimes the teaching hasn't changed at all.

You have.

And perhaps that's where the real abundance begins.

Elephant table with element representations

A little postscript from me, Shaz

Blue Pool is still sitting on my elephant table as I write this.

The numbers are still there.

The feathers are still moving when I walk past.

The dragons are still guarding the wizard.

The ancient bark and archaeological quartz are still quietly carrying their history.

And the oil diffuser?

Well…

it's still just an oil diffuser.

šŸ˜‚

For now.

On the 10th, I'll return the water and pebbles to the earth.

But I have a feeling this little experiment has already given me something far more valuable than whatever I thought I was looking for when I started.

I was looking for abundance.

I think I found perspective.

Shaz xx
