Weekly Whispers Week Beginning 06 June 2026

Two Broken Nails, A Chemical Burn and a Snakeskin

Apparently June arrived without reading the welcome pack.

🌻 A Little Hello from Me

Well...

June has arrived hasn’t it?

Not gracefully.

Not quietly.

And certainly not according to any plan I may have had.

Before I go any further, let's review the evidence.

In the space of one week, I have acquired:

• A chemical burn from attempting to remove a badger stripe.

• Two broken nails. (A tragedy only fully understood by women.)

• A lost passport.

• A missing bundle of sage.

• A snake-skin in my flower border.

• New shoes.

• Batteries for my lady shave.

• A meeting in the Akashic Library with not one but TWO guides.

• A Friesian cow during meditation.

• Several slices of fruit cake more than were strictly necessary.

• And a gathering of creative souls making plans to write in nature.

Honestly, if somebody had pitched this as a television series, I'd probably have said the storyline was unrealistic.

Yet here we are.

And somewhere amongst all that, June quietly moved in and rearranged the furniture.

So, What Was All That About Then?

Looking back, there seems to be a theme.

‘Shedding’.

The snake shed its skin.

I shed my carefully crafted workshop plans.

Old ideas shed their grip.

Old expectations shed their certainty.

My friend’s passport briefly shed its responsibility for remaining visible.

And two of my nails apparently shed their commitment to the cause.

Not every transformation arrives accompanied by angels, harps and heavenly choirs.

Sometimes it arrives disguised as inconvenience, irritation and a trip back to the hairdresser.

The Numerology of New Beginnings

Sunday carried a Universal Day 1 energy alongside my Personal Day 4.

Now that combination was a bit like pairing an excited puppy with an accountant.

The Universal 1 was bouncing around shouting:

‘Let's start something new!’ ‘Let’s just do it.’  ‘Let’s take a train ride…’

While my Personal 4 was sitting quietly in the corner asking:

‘Excellent. Have we got a plan, a pen, a notebook and/or a schedule?’

One wanted adventure.

One wanted structure.

One wanted possibility.

One wanted bullet points.

To be fair, that's pretty much been the story of my last week.

Something new is definitely stirring.

Whether I know exactly what it is yet remains open to discussion.

Things That Made Me Raise An Eyebrow over the Last Week

Let's start with the ‘Friesian cow!’

There I was, minding my own business during meditation when a Friesian cow wandered into my awareness.

A cow…, honestly

Not a wise owl.

Not an eagle.

Not a unicorn…,

‘a cow.’

Complete with black and white patches.

If anybody would like to explain the spiritual significance of a Friesian cow, applications are now open. I haven’t looked LOL.

Then there was the Akashic Library.

I went in expecting one guide, but no…,

two turned up.

I wasn't entirely sure whether I should feel honoured or outnumbered.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the garden, a snake quietly shed its skin and left it where I couldn't possibly miss it.

Subtle, the Universe is not.

Friday's Lesson in Spiritual Growth

Friday provided multiple opportunities to practise the Reiki precept:

‘Just for today, I will not be angry.’

I heard myself speak the words out loud…, ‘Just for today…,’ but, believe me when I say my facial expression said otherwise!

The Universe clearly interpreted this as a challenge.

There was my missing sage.

Broken nails.

The ongoing passport situation.

The general sense that life had decided to become a practical joke.

I would love to be telling you I navigated all of this with the serenity of a Zen master.

I did not.

However, nobody was harmed.

And that feels like a win.

Saturday's Signs

Saturday felt like standing in a doorway.

New shoes.

Fresh batteries.

Summer plans.

Writers gathering.

Meditation messages.

Synchronicities popping up everywhere.

The sort of day that whispers: ‘Pay attention.’

Something is changing.

Not dramatically. Not overnight.

But enough to notice.

And enough to be curious about.

☕ A Question For You

What's the strangest sign you've ever received?

The one that made you stop and think:

‘Well that's oddly specific...’

Extra points if it involved livestock. 😊

🔢 The Numbers for the Week Ahead

Monday – Universal 8

Apparently it's ‘Say Something Nice Day.’

Achievement. Influence. Responsibility.

Try complimenting someone.

Including yourself.

Tuesday – Universal 9

Time to clear space.

Delete emails.

Finish loose ends.

Release grudges you've been carrying longer than some houseplants.

Wednesday – Universal 1

Fresh starts. New ideas.

New beginnings.

Or at the very least, buying another notebook for a project you're definitely going to start one day. ‘Nudge, Nudge, Sunday group’

Thursday – Universal 2

Patience.

Partnerships.

Diplomacy.

Count to ten before responding to that message.

You know the one.

Friday – Universal 3

Creativity.

Communication.

Laughter.

Perfect for writing, sharing and accidentally saying exactly what everybody else was thinking.

Saturday – Universal 4

Organisation.

Practicality.

Adulting.

Unfortunately.

Sunday – Universal 5

Chocolate Ice Cream Day.’

This is not officially recognised anywhere.

Except here. 😊

Expect surprises, spontaneity and a strong temptation to do something different.

What's New at Four Seasons?

Throughout June we'll be exploring the Reiki precepts through the lens of everyday life.

Not perfect spirituality.

Not mountain-top enlightenment.

Just real people having real days.

Days when we're patient.

Days when we're not.

Days when we trust.

Days when we panic.

Days when we can't find our passport, our sage or occasionally our sanity.

Throughout ‘ Just for June’ month, and ‘Just for Today...’ we'll be discovering how ancient wisdom shows up in ordinary moments.

Because that's where most of life actually happens. There was a strong possibility that I would be running a  ‘Write your own Lifepath’ workshop. For now, this is on hold but if it’s something you think you would be interested in, leave a message in the comments.

Final Thoughts

If this week taught me anything, it's that life rarely arrives in neat little lessons.

Sometimes it arrives disguised as broken nails.

Sometimes as missing passports.

Sometimes as snake skins.

Sometimes as Friesian cows.

And occasionally it arrives carrying batteries for your lady shave.

The trick, perhaps, is paying attention.

The snake shed its skin.

I shed my plans.

And June quietly began.
