Weekly Whispers. Week Beginning 21-27 Sept 2026
When Generosity Needs a Day Off
As always, a little ‘Hello from Me’...

Where shall I begin?
Well, I began the week completely blinded by the energy of 6.
Seriously.
A Universal 6 day, combined with my Life Path 2, might as well have flashed ‘SUCKER IN THE MAKING’ across my forehead.😂
As if there wasn't already plenty of compassion floating around, I also had Quan Yin for company all day.
For those who don't know, Quan Yin is the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion.
So basically, Monday arrived, looked at me and said:
‘Right, Shaz. You're going to care about EVERYTHING today.’
And apparently I didn't get a vote.
As the day wound down and the caring, compassionate me had finally left the room, I mustered up enough energy to join the latest ‘Money Reiki’ cohort.
And I absolutely love these groups.
There's something about learning, practising and sharing with other people that leaves me buzzing with ideas. Even though it finished at 11pm — which, for me, is practically the middle of the night — I came away excited, optimistic and, once again, looking at abundance from a completely different perspective.
And then, as if that wasn't enough, I received a beautiful message from a dear friend across the big pond.
If ever my boat comes in, she is very high on my bucket list of people to visit in person.
And then came another Monday surprise.
I'd lost 3lbs.
But even better than that, I've apparently wound my metabolic clock back by two years in just a few short weeks.
I'll take that!
Especially as I'm fairly sure my metabolic clock has been sat in the corner sulking for quite some time. 😂
Generosity… or am I just incapable of saying no?
Tuesday found me still thinking about Money Reiki and abundance.
And then came a rather unfiltered realisation.
My default setting is generosity.
It's not necessarily people pleasing, although I'm sure there may be a little bit of that lurking in the shrubbery.
And I'm beginning to think it's not even about money blocks.
Perhaps it's simply that I genuinely like giving.
My current algebra goes something like: Abundance + receive = give = generosity.
Or something like that.
I'm still working on the formula.😂
The interesting bit is that my thoughts have been with other people a lot this week, and I was already feeling tired when a couple of people gently reminded me:
‘Save a little bit of you for you.’
Ouch.
Sometimes the people who love us can see what we're doing long before we can.
So I listened.
I went to bed early.
And honestly, I needed it.
Then along came Wednesday…
I woke up wide awake, inspired, motivated and thoroughly reignited.
The Universal 8 energy seemed to suit me perfectly.
I had plans.
I had purpose.
I had momentum.
I was ready.
So naturally, I started scrolling through my emails.
Swipe. Delete.
Swipe. Delete.
Swipe. Delete.
Swipe. Delete.
Rhythmic.
Like an old train rattling down the track.
And then something caught my eye.
An email I'd almost deleted because I didn't recognise the sender.
The subject line said something along the lines of ‘check your account’.
Did I?
Was this another crummy trick to get me to click on something, buy something, subscribe to something or hand over my first-born? LOL
But something made me open it anyway.
And thank goodness I did.
I won't bore you with the saga, but let's just say that one little email stopped at least four automated renewals from taking money from my account for accounts I no longer use.
Four!
I was absolutely gobsmacked.
So, there I was, giving massive thanks to the Universe, Money Reiki, my Guides, the person who sent the email…
and my nosiness.😂
Perhaps this abundance malarkey is beginning to work again.
Thursday: the 85% chocolate defence
By Thursday, my healthy eating was beginning to wobble, and I’m sure my brain had begun to atrophy.
I actually wrote in my journal:
‘Thought capacity max'd.’
Which I think is a fairly accurate technical diagnosis.😂
I was disappointed in myself and reached for yet another square of 85% dark chocolate.
Because, obviously, 85% chocolate doesn't count.
It's practically a vegetable.
Isn't it?
No?
Oh.
Bug**r.
The answer was actually staring me in the face.
One of the hidden areas of my Johari Window is a tendency to eat when I'm tired or emotional.
And that evening?
I was both.
Sometimes self-awareness is a blinking nuisance.
Friday brought waffles.
I had a lovely start to the day, making handmade birthday presents with love.
It was a good day.
And then, because apparently I'd forgotten my previous newsletter entirely, I bought a waffle maker.
Yes.
The woman who had never owned a waffle maker in 65+ years finally bought one.
I was excited.
I whisked up the batter.
Poured it in.
Closed the machine.
And waited.
What came next can only be described as a volcanic eruption on my kitchen worktop.
White, foaming, sticky mixture oozing out everywhere.
Like a volcanic boil on your butt cheek.
Burning.
Sticking.
Everywhere.
And completely inedible to boot! 😂😂😂
I now understand why waffles are so good for a diet.
Two minutes to make. Completely inedible. One hour and twenty minutes to clean the flipping machine.
Result!
Except by this point my enthusiasm had packed its bags and left the building.
And then I started wondering about social media.
Why do I still check in?
What's the point?
Why am I doing this?
You know how it goes....
One small disaster and suddenly you're questioning your entire life, your career choices and whether you actually need a Facebook account.😂
Saturday was busy, busy, busy, but nothing particularly exciting to write home about.
And then Sunday arrived.
And what did I find myself doing?
Making a healthier version of Bulgarian Banitsa.
Because apparently I am nothing if not contradictory.
Chocolate.
Waffles.
Banitsa.
Healthy eating.
Abundance.
Generosity.
Money Reiki.
Metabolic clocks.
I think we'll just call this week ‘Shaz does Shaz.’ 😂
📚 Midweek Musings
I've been thinking a lot this week about giving and receiving.
We're often told to look at our blocks around receiving.
But what if the issue isn't actually that we don't know how to receive?
What if some of us are simply brilliant at giving and have quietly made giving our default setting? Label: ‘Generous Person’ in the house!
Giving time.
Giving energy.
Giving support.
Giving money.
Giving attention.
Giving our skills.
Giving pieces of ourselves.
And then wondering why we're shattered.
I'm not suggesting we stop being generous.
God forbid.
But perhaps generosity also needs a boundary.
Perhaps sometimes the most generous thing we can do is not give everything away.
Including ourselves.
☕ Two Questions For You…
I'm curious.
Are you naturally more comfortable giving or receiving?
And here's the slightly cheekier one:
When you're tired, stressed or emotional, where does your energy tend to go?
Food?
Shopping?
Helping someone else?
Scrolling?
Tidying?
Working?
Avoiding the thing you actually need to deal with?
Or somewhere else entirely?
No polished answers required.
You know me better than that. 😂
🔢 The Numbers for the Week Ahead
Before we head off into what's new, let's have a look at the energies coming our way.
Monday 21st – Universal Day 4
Tuesday 22nd – Universal Day 5
Wednesday 23rd – Universal Day 6
Thursday 24th – Universal Day 7
Friday 25th – Universal Day 8
Saturday 26th – Universal Day 9
Sunday 27th – Universal Day 1
A little snapshot of the week
We're moving from the practical, grounded energy of 4, through the movement and change of 5, into the caring 6.
Then comes 7, asking us to slow down, reflect and perhaps listen a little more closely.
8 brings power, resources and getting things done.
9 begins the process of completion, clearing and making space.
And then Sunday brings us right back to 1.
New beginnings.
New ideas.
Another starting point.
Which seems rather appropriate.
Because if there's one thing I've learned this week, it's that being knocked sideways doesn't mean we're back at square one.
Sometimes we're simply being given the opportunity to start again from a slightly different place.
And, as always, remember:
The Universal numbers are the weather map.
They tell us something about the conditions around us.
But how we actually experience and respond to that weather depends on our own personal numbers.
One person's Universal 8 might have them marching into the boardroom.
Another might be clearing out their bank account, finally dealing with something they've avoided, or discovering four unwanted subscriptions hiding in the undergrowth.😂
That's why I love looking at the personal numbers alongside the Universal ones.
Same weather.
Different experience.
🌻 What's New This Week at Four Seasons?
Something is stirring around abundance…
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time this week thinking about abundance, generosity and my own rather interesting relationship with giving and receiving.
And it's got me wondering…
Do our numbers have something to say about the way we experience abundance?
Well, actually, they do.
I've run my Numerology of Abundance course before, and I'm seriously considering dusting it off and bringing it back for Autumn.
But I'm not committing myself to another huge production just yet. 😂
So here's my question:
Would that interest you?
Would you like to explore what your numbers might reveal about your relationship with abundance?
Because if there's enough interest, I might just pull the flipping thing out of the cupboard.😂
Actually,
Give me a high five if you'd genuinely like me to bring it back. I'm not promising anything — I'm simply sticking my toe in the water before I accidentally fall in.
🌻 Meanwhile, over in the Passport Lounge…
There's a little community growing over there.
We've had numerology, conversations, sharing, free gifts, personal insights and our first Giving Week — which turned out to be rather lovely.
And I've realised something.
I don't actually want the Passport Lounge to become another Facebook group where people occasionally chuck something into the void and disappear again.
I want it to feel like popping into a room where you know someone will be pleased to see you.
There's still time to join us for Autumn.
And yes, there's a passport.
And, No, you don't need to pack.😂
[Come and have a look / Message me if you're curious.]
And Finally…
Thank you for being here.
Honestly.
Whether you've been reading for years, arrived last week, or you're one of those lovely quiet people who reads these with a cup of tea and never says a word, I'm glad you're here.
This week has reminded me that life doesn't always follow the plan.
Sometimes we give too much.
Sometimes we eat the chocolate.
Sometimes we buy a waffle maker and nearly destroy the kitchen.
Sometimes we question everything.
And sometimes we spot one little email that saves us money and reminds us that perhaps things are quietly shifting after all.
We don't always have to have it figured out.
Sometimes we just need to notice what's happening, listen to ourselves, and make the next choice.
Even if the next choice is not making another messy waffle.😂
I'll see you next week.
Much love,
Shaz xx 🌻
