Two Weeks, Too Much! Land’s End and back again — cream teas, singing bowls, seashells, crystals, and one very suspicious soldier in a tree…
And no… you didn’t accidentally sleep through last week’s newsletter.
I simply didn’t write one.
Between travelling, family visits, and what can only be described as a logistical obstacle course with wheels, wings, and questionable transport decisions, Weekly Whispers had to take a back seat.
And what a back seat it was…
🌻 Where on earth do I begin?
Let’s start with the coach journey from Bulgaria.
Five and a half hours.364 kilometres. Enough potholes to register on the Richter scale.
Honestly, it felt like being strapped to one of those vibration plate machines people swear will ‘tone your body in ten minutes.’
Absolute nonsense.
This journey could have shaken the secrets out of your ancestors, and I bet they had a few 😊.
By the time I arrived in Sofia, I felt like a human maraca, (and if the thought of ‘maraca’s’ doesn’t take you to a happy place, I don’t know what will!)
Then came the yellow taxi.
Still rattling from the coach ride, I spent the journey to the airport wondering whether I’d survive the enthusiastic lane-changing long enough to make my flight. Thankfully, I know enough Bulgarian these days not to be charged ‘tourist prices’ — small wins.
Then…
… arrivals in the UK.
Midnight collection.
A car.
‘With no headlights’!
No. Headlights.
At this point I simply accepted my fate and whispered, ‘If this is how I go, please tell people I had excellent hair.’ LOL
By 2am we finally collapsed into bed before beginning the next chapter of chaos:
Five days of driving around Cornwall.
And when I say driving around Cornwall, I mean zig-zagging every possible direction while every road sign appeared to lead to Bodmin.
How is Bodmin apparently connected to every road in Britain?
And why did nobody tell me there was a place called St Dennis?
Sixty-something years on this planet and I’m still discovering rogue saints.
We visited castles, harbours, beaches, hidden coves, and places so pretty they looked AI-generated.
Then on Day Four…
Disaster struck.
Not while climbing cliffs. Not while battling the elements. Not during an emergency.
No.
I injured my back putting my socks on!
There’s something deeply humbling about being taken out by knitwear 😊.
Still — I was the only driver, so there was no dramatic fainting onto a chaise lounge. We carried on.
Naturally, the trip concluded with family visits, a mental health assessment, and a coffee morning.
As one does.
Entirely normal holiday behaviour. ‘I think’.
📚 Midweek Musings & Moments Worth Mentioning
Monday – Portishead.
I arrived clutching my final liquorice allsort and full of hope because I’d been told I’d find a Hag Stone there.
I did not.
Apparently even magical stones have boundaries.
We continued on to St Minver, our base for the week.
Tuesday – Port William & Tintagel Castle
A stunning day finished with bingo.
And because I apparently cannot resist any activity involving numbers, I enthusiastically handed over £15.
‘Fifteen pounds’.
For bingo.
And a £1.50 dabber that was deemed ‘essential.’
Did I win?
Did I heck.
Wednesday – A Personal Day 5
This was easily one of my favourite days.
Adventure. Change. Movement.
Classic 5 energy.
I met a dear friend I’d never met in person before — one of those rare soul connections where conversation feels like coming home. Very meaningful.
Truro now holds special memories for me, as does Penzance and the breathtaking Minack Theatre.
Absolutely magical.
Thursday – And oh… Looe stole my heart.
Looe
I played my first ceramic singing bowl. A coaching session in a shop. An impromptu gig! LOL. Thank you Looe.
Added to my Labradorite collection (because apparently crystals now travel home with me like emotional support minerals).
Collected seashells.
Had a wonderful chat with a shopkeeper about lightworkers, energy shifts, and the quiet difference kind people make in the world.
Then I went crabbing.
Because spiritual depth should always be balanced with inappropriate excitement over tiny sea creatures.
And yes…
Fish and chips happened.
Obviously.
Friday
I wrapped up the trip sketching Cornish cottages, rivers and trees perched high on cliffs.
My own little dream village.
I may paint it soon.
I’m thinking of calling it Treshaz.
A peaceful artistic retreat where nobody asks me to explain Wi-Fi passwords.
Don’t believe me, check it out: ‘Tre’ from the old Cornish language for ‘homestead’
☕ A Question For You…
Did you notice any signs or symbols last week?
For years now, I’ve repeatedly seen the image of a soldier wearing a tin hat and backpack, and carrying a rifle.
Random places. Unexpected moments.
I’ve never fully understood why.
Then, while settling into our lodge at St Minver, a robin landed confidently on our patio table.
As I looked at him, my eyes were drawn beyond him…
And there he was again.
The soldier.
In the shape of the tree.
Perhaps signs don’t always demand interpretation.
Sometimes they simply ask us to notice.
And trust.
🔢 The Numbers for the Week Ahead
We’re still moving through an energetic Universal 5 month (April) — practical, structured, and occasionally about as glamorous as reorganising your linen cupboard, but not for long. This week sees the month of May step in (Universal 6 energies). Shifting all that impulsive energy into one of service, care and compassion.
But never mind that, let’s talk about this week. It gets interesting.
Monday 27th — Universal Day 5
Expect movement, surprises and possible last-minute changes.
Great day for spontaneity.Less ideal for online shopping, or texting the ex after a couple of glasses of vino.
Tuesday 28th — Universal Day 6
Family, responsibilities and relationships.
Someone may need your support — or your boundaries.
Remember: being helpful does not require becoming everyone’s unpaid therapist and definitely don’t ‘assume’ the need to always step in. People have to fall to discover the trip. So, remember: when you ‘assume’, you make an ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’: well according to my old junior schoolteacher LOL.
Wednesday 29th — Universal Day 7
Reflection day.
Slow down. Listen inward.
Excellent for journaling, research, spiritual practices, and quietly questioning all your life choices before lunch.
Thursday 30th — Universal Day 8
Boss energy.
Finances, business decisions and practical progress are highlighted.
Do the scary email.Make the call.Price the thing properly.
Hello May…
Friday welcomes a brand new Universal 6-month energy — and this feels like a noticeable shift.
After April’s whirlwind 5 energy of movement, unpredictability and ‘what fresh chaos is this?’ moments…
May, asks us to slow down and tend to what matters.
Home. Family. Love. Responsibility. Beauty. Healing. Community.
It’s softer energy — but don’t mistake soft for weak.
The number 6 often asks:
Who needs your care? What needs your attention? Where have you neglected your own wellbeing while taking care of everyone else?
And with gardens blooming, flowers bursting into colour and nature fully stepping into her nurturing feminine energy…
It feels perfectly aligned.
Friday 1st May — Universal Day 7
An introspective start to the new month.
Pause before rushing ahead.
And yes — we also welcome the beautiful Flower Moon energy, making this feel even more reflective and heart-led.
Saturday 2nd May — Universal Day 8
Practical action returns.
Excellent day for organising finances, making plans and getting things done.
Sunday 3rd May — Universal Day 9
A beautiful day for closure and release.
Declutter your home. Finish lingering tasks. Forgive where needed. Let go of what feels heavy.
Including mystery USB cables in your kitchen drawer that belong to absolutely nothing. Is this just me? Do other people have mystery USB cables in random places?
Weekly Theme:
Adventure meets responsibility. Reflection meets action.
A beautiful bridge week between April’s slightly wild child energy and May’s loving, grounding embrace.
What’s New at Four Seasons?
My latest article is now featured in The Happy Business Club:
‘The Van, The Dog, and a Cheese Plant: Why Ready is a Myth’
Especially if you’re a member of what I lovingly call the middle model generation.
And in my true Shaz fashion…
I somehow lost all my notes, drafts, and correspondence after a dramatic battle with Google storage limits – not for the first time!
I deleted things in frustration.
Google remains unimpressed, I’m still apparently ‘over’ my allowance, and will be punished accordingly!
The article survived though — which feels mildly miraculous.
Search for ‘The Happy Business Club’ on Facebook if you'd like to read some brilliant content from multiple writers.
Final Thoughts
Lately I’ve felt like I’ve been scattering my energy too far and wide, like confetti on a windy day at a wedding.
Too many ideas. Too many tabs open. Not enough focused momentum.
Maybe you’ve felt that too?
Anyway, as we edge toward summer in the Northern Hemisphere, nature is doing what it does best:
Blooming unapologetically.
Poppies line the roads. Trees are bursting into blossom. Everything feels alive again.
And perhaps that’s our invitation too.
To stop waiting. To stop hiding. To stop overcomplicating things.
What would your own summer bloom season look like?
And if you’re curious how your personal numbers might guide your next chapter…
Let’s chat.

Well, that’s it folks. I hope you enjoyed Weekly Whispers.
Honestly? If this newsletter had a life path number, it would be a chaotic 5 with a suitcase full of crystals and a pulled back muscle.
