The Week of the Monkey, the Bees… and a Cheesecake Crisis When life declutters your drawers, your scalp protests, and your dessert questions its entire existence…
Well, this wasn’t a quiet week… it just pretended to be.
🌻 A Little Hello from Me
A week that began with a Universal 6-day, full of gratitude… and 15 beautiful souls (1+5=6, we love a bit of number magic) stepping into Day One of ‘Five Minutes Per Day, For Five Days’ as we journeyed gently back to self.
And what a journey it was.
Our ‘Out of Sync’ experience wrapped up on Friday (Day 5, naturally), with a rather lovely closing circle on Saturday—freebies included, because who doesn’t love a little energetic goodie bag?
Monday came in like a woman on a mission—flights booked, accommodation sorted, Moon Babies article written and scheduled… honestly, if Monday had legs, it would’ve been striding.
Now… my personal 9-day claimed it was all about endings and completion… but if I’m honest, it behaved more like a cheeky little 1.It started innocently enough—with my purse clear out. Then my handbag. Then a cupboard…Then another…
And before I knew it, I was face-to-face with that drawer.
Yes. ‘That’ drawer.
We all have one. Don’t pretend you don’t.
Tuesday brought back my ‘pretty box’—and no, I didn’t name it, so let’s not start that conversation again. It’s where I pop little notes of joy, magic, kindness… all the lovely moments that might otherwise slip through the cracks. A year from now, I’ll open it and relive them all. A bit like time travel, but with less paperwork.
And then… the bees arrived.
A full-on swarm moved into my plum tree like they’d booked an Airbnb. I had a quiet word with the universe (and possibly the bees), asking them kindly to treat it as a rest stop rather than a permanent residence.
By Day 2… they packed up and left.
No fuss. No forwarding address.
Honestly, more considerate than some houseguests I’ve known.
Wednesday… well… Wednesday I gave birth to a monkey.
Stay with me.
During some distance Reiki sessions with a lovely friend, we got chatting about how different teachers bring their own flavour to things. Back in my training days, we were told to bring a teddy as a prop.
Naturally… I brought a monkey.
Fast forward to now—I dusted him off, gave him a cleanse, an energetic upgrade, and decided he’d be my Reiki sidekick.
Naming him, however, nearly finished me off.
After much debate, head-scratching, and entirely too many opinions from others…Chi Chi Rei was born.
Chi Chi—double life force energy.Rei—universal spirit.
So basically… he’s small, fluffy, and spiritually overqualified.
Also this week—I did a Facebook Live.
As in… actually live.
No recording. No safety net. No ‘I’ll just do that again.’
Miracles do happen.
Somewhere in the mix, we had our first tick of the year—poor Scooby, of course—and a few client calls, plus more fence painting (because clearly I’ve taken on a side career I don’t remember applying for).
Then Friday arrived… and everything went a bit… sideways.
Hairdresser day. Lovely. Except—earlier in the week, my scalp had reacted rather dramatically to a shampoo.Think: fire, blisters, betrayal.
My hairdresser took one look and said, ‘Absolutely not.’
So instead of a glow-up, I got a gentle neutralising treatment and a firm list of ‘don’t you dare use that again.’
Glamorous.
And today, Sunday… I found my joy again in the kitchen.
Two fruit loaves later… and a cashew, lemon & lime ‘cheesecake’ that contains absolutely nothing resembling a cheesecake…
I realised something.
Sometimes, you don’t need to fit the label.
Sometimes, you just need to taste good.
A Little Look Back…A week of unexpected magic, small wins, mild chaos, and moments that—when you really look—were quietly meaningful.
📚 Midweek Musings
Ah yes… the SIM card saga.
What started as a minor inconvenience turned into a full-blown test of patience, persistence, and not launching my phone out of the window.
Locked out of my own website. Codes disappearing into the void. Weeks of waiting.
But… I held my ground (with a little help from my unseen support team upstairs), and finally—after what felt like forever—I’m back in.
Never underestimate a determined woman with a mission… and slightly raised eyebrows.
🧳 Saturday… Missed and Mused
Saturday carried a much lighter, slightly playful feel—with a Universal 2 energy gently encouraging connection, sensitivity, and a softer pace…
…while my personal 5 energy had other ideas entirely.
So there I was—part of me wanting to potter, reflect, maybe have a nice meaningful moment… and the other part itching for movement, change, and probably a bit of mischief.
If you’ve ever felt like you wanted a quiet cup of tea and a spontaneous adventure at the same time… that was the energy.
Not chaotic… just a little contradictory.
And actually—quite freeing once I stopped trying to make it behave.
A Question For You…
What have you been quietly clearing, shifting, or completing… without really noticing?
And… what’s ready to take its place?
(Sometimes it starts with a drawer… just saying.)
🔢 The Numbers for the Week Ahead
Let’s see what mischief—and magic—the numbers have lined up:
Monday – Universal Day 4Time to get grounded. Organise, plan, build something solid. (Maybe not all your cupboards at once…)
Tuesday – Universal Day 5Change, fun, freedom… and apparently National Wine Day.On a 5 day? Proceed with enthusiasm… and maybe a glass of water in between.
Wednesday – Universal Day 6Heart energy. Home, family, care, connection. Check in—with yourself and others.
Thursday – Universal Day 7Slow down. Reflect. Go inward. Perfect day for journaling, walking, or having deep thoughts while staring out of the window.
Friday – Universal Day 8Power, purpose, and progress. Also, Amnesty International Day—a reminder of fairness, justice, and using your voice wisely.
Saturday – Universal Day 9Completion. Release. Let go of what no longer fits (yes… even ‘that’ thing you’ve been holding onto).
Sunday – Universal Day 1A fresh start… under a Blue Moon in Sagittarius.
Once in a blue moon… we’re asked to believe in something bigger.
Reset. Reimagine. Begin again.
✨ A Quick Whisper for the Week Ahead
A beautiful blend of clearing, reflection, and fresh starts.
Let go where needed… pause when called… and when that 1 energy arrives on Sunday—step forward.
Even if it’s just one small, brave step.
🌻 Final Thoughts
This week didn’t shout for attention… but it certainly had a lot to say.
Magic doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes it turns up as bees in a tree, a monkey with a spiritual name, or a cheesecake that refuses to be defined.
Pay attention to the quiet magic.
It’s often where the real shifts begin.
🌻 What’s New & What’s Coming
As we gently close the chapter on a beautiful month of Mindfulness… we begin to move into June—a Universal Month 7.
Think: reflection, deeper understanding, spiritual connection… and a little more time for you.
And… something special is coming.
✨ Write Your Own Life Path ✨
A creative, soul-led journey where your numbers meet your story.
If you loved ‘Out of Sync’… this is your next step.
Guided. Insightful. A little bit magical.
And yes… numbers will be limited.
